Subject:New maintainer...
Posted by:riotrobot.
Time:10:15 am.
Mood: hopeful.
Hi all,

mkeknitting has been dormant for quite awhile. To be honest, I don't have much time to dedicate to "lively-ing" up the community and, quite frankly, keep forgetting the community even exists.

Is anyone here interested in being a co-maintainer of mkeknitting?

Preferably, the new co-maintainer would inject some new life into the community. We're not a large bunch, and I suspect many of us are now on Ravelry.com, but it would still be nice to have a more active community here on LJ.

Additionally, as this is an open community at this point, there's no active moderation needed as far as approving new members or entries, so the time impact on your life would be minimal.

Any takers?

Thanks!

j.

I'm brand new to the community, but not to knitting or to LJ. Learned to knit from my grandmother when I was wee. Quit for a very long time, and then picked it up again a few years ago, and now I'm kinda crazy-obsessed. The kind where I have no less than 3 projects active at any one time, not to mention the supplies for at least 8 more in the queue at all times.

I live in Milwaukee, and love it!

Are there still weekly gatherings? Stitch N Bitch or otherwise?

Questions? Comments? I'm an open book.

I'm Amy & I'm new (obviously). Just wanted to say hello! I began knitting about three months ago - love it. I've made fingerless gloves, a scarf and a few hats so far, currently working on a lace-type scarf...
I'm just curious tho, what's your favorite yarn shop?

hello my lovely ladies.  As I consider you all experts in the sock knitting genre I have a question.  Do any of you knit two socks simultaneously on two circulars?  I'm thinking of trying this technique on the next set of socks but I was curious if one of you has experience with it.

Hey people I just joined your group. My Name is Amber and I am a 25 year-old from Madison WI. I have been knitting for about a year and I am pretty obsessed.

My current project is an ivory bamboo print scarf.

Subject:Milwaukee Stitch 'N Pitch
Posted by:pfarfigknittin.
Time:10:24 pm.
Just wondering if any of you ladies had considered attending the Milwaukee Brewer's Stitch 'N Pitch game on July 31, 2007.  It's a 7:05pm game.  It is $22 for a ticket.  The price includes a tote bag of goodies (presumably stitching related) from the Brewers.  I believe that Saturday is the last day to purchase tickets.  A couple of the LYSes have bought tickets and have some left over to purchase.  The Brewers also have some available for direct sale through them (but you can't buy them through their ticket purchasing site if you want to get the Stitch 'N Pitch goodies).

So anyone up for it?

Hey Kids.  I'll be working late tonight then cleaning for family coming into town tomorrow so I won't be at Alterra tonight.  Have fun without me.  I hope to have a finished stocking by the next SnB.  Now I'm looking at what to make my sister.  Any suggestions?  (she already has a hand-made stocking from someone else)

Hey everyone all of the information posted earlier on the wall applies for the Stitch'N'Pitch event. However there was a typo in the email address. So the information should read as follows:

Breaking News:
Brewers Sponsor Stitch 'N' Pitch

And it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ball game!

Knitters and crocheters, mark those calendars for the Milwaukee Brewers Stitch 'N' Pitch event this summer on Tuesday, July 31. The Brewers will play the New York Mets at 7:05 p.m.
According to the Brewers there will be a designated area for all knitters, crocheters, and needle-workers. The tickets will cost $22 (regular price is $24). Needle artists who buy tickets by July 2 will receive a special gift.

For more information on Stitch 'N' Pitch nation-wide, go to _www.stitchnpitch.com_ (
http://www.stitchnpitch.com/) and for the order form for the July 31 Brewers game you can e-mail Caitlin Suess: _Caitlin.Suess@Brewers.com_ (mailto:Caitlin.Suess@Brewers.com) or call her at 414-902-4596.

Since I didn't make it last week, I don't know if any plans were made. Is there any kind of knitting fun going on tonight? Let me know if anyone was planning on going or would like to go! Either the regular place or Alterra.

So, how's tomorrow at 6pm  - the normal location?  Parking at Alterra isn't too bad, and there is the lot across the street from it if needed but I say we go traditional this one last time.

Any takers?

Hello everyone!
It's been awhile since we met up for a little knitting fun. I figured since it's summer now and there will hopefully be less schoolwork to be done, we could try this again. Anyone interested in getting together at the Schwartz's on Oakland this Tuesday, or next?

Subject:Auction knitting
Posted by:random_slinky.
Time:12:07 pm.
Hey all,
My boyfriend mixed up the deadlines for the auction. :( It was last Thursday, not this Thursday. So...if you'd still like to donate your items, they do plan on doing another Gala/Silent Auction event and you're welcome to donate to that.

For kynafairge, I won't be coming out to pick those up.

Subject:Auction knitting!
Posted by:random_slinky.
Time:5:37 pm.
Hey guys!
I meant to post this last week, but I completely forgot. I need to have any knitting for the auction by next week Tuesday! If you can't make it to knitting night, we can make other arrangements. HHCH would like if you'd include your name with your item so they can credit you for the donation. If you've forgotten about it and would still like to contribute something small, they are looking for items to go in a basket. The basket is going to have hot chocolate and cozy winter by the fire kinds of things. So a quick pair of mittens or cup warmer thingies or anything you can think of! Thanks much!
